Does tier 2 general Dependent has the cool off period?

Post by drsampara » Fri Mar 01, 2019 3:39 pm

Hi Everyone.

I am on Tier 2 general visa since August 2013 with a couple of extensions.

My visa history: 1. August 2016 to July 2018
2. August 2018 to Jan 2019 (Extension)
3. Jan 2019 to Nov 2022 (Extension).
My wife and daughter were with me during the first visa on Tier 2 dependent and during 2nd visa, they were in India (didn't apply for the visa). Can they apply for the tier 2 dependent visa now or will they come under cool off period?

Please let me know.

Cheers
Naresh

There is no cooling off period for dependents. Not sure why you think there is?

Thanks for your reply.

My wife and daughter applied for the visa in Hyderabad India. They have uploaded the documents (given below)
1. Relationship proof: Marriage certificate and a letter from me.
2. Financial proof: Maintenance letter from my sponsor.
3. Medical test: TB certificate.
4. Accommodation proof: Letter from my landlord.

However, The IHS money is refunded but we don't know the reason yet. I am just wondering due to the cool off period.

As CR001 has advised, there is no cool-off period for PBS Dependants. However, a full refund of the IHS fee generally suggests a refusal.
