EEA Family permit confusions!

Post by santomegonzalo » Tue Dec 18, 2018 9:44 am

Hi, my wife and I, moved a month ago to London and I'm Italian and she is from Argentina. She has a Visa (for EEA Family) for 6 months. She applied for a biometric card form (MFM) but they rejected it saying that she didn't send my passport to prove who is the sponsor. When she did it, she showed my Italian passport to the lady getting all of her papers.

She went yesterday (again) with a copy from my passport to attach into the documents and the person from "Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea" told her that she can not apply because first I need to get my EEA Certificate (Form QP - I think) and then I could add her into my application and then everything will be ok.

Who knows if that is right or not? They are not helping at all and every time they are saying something different. If I apply for an EEA Certificate and add her into the form too, does she need to apply to MFM Form again? or everything will be ok with just QP Form?

Another quick question is that we have the next appointment to send all of our papers at the end of Dec, but sadly the job that I started in November put my role into redundancy so I will leave the company this week but I got another job already (starting in January). I have a redundancy letter from my current employer and the contract from my new employer, do I need to write a letter explaining what happened and attaching all of this forms? Do I need to get something from my next employer saying that I will start there in January?

Sorry, but the only documentation is a mess and nobody could help.

Thanks a lot!!!!

What is "MFM"??

She should apply for an eea residence card in eea2.
