Complaint to the BICS regarding a casework error

Does a complainant receive an acknowledgement when he/she raises a complaint with the UKVI?

It is not a term that we normally come across on these forums and googling it gave me the "British Institute of Cleaning Science" and somehow I have the feeling that that is not what you meant, at least not on this site.

Also, what was the caseworker error?
