Alternative to Blocked Account for German Study Visa

My brother wishes to study in Germany for BBA. He is going to start the process of application through uni-Assist. He is in Pakistan.
The question relates to Financial requirement for the student visa. The university in question doesn't charge tuition fee which only leaves the requirement for depositing expenditure money (around 10K Euro) in to a blocked account. Is there any alternative for demonstrating financial eligibility. My father has land in his name. I am a British Citizen working in the Middle East and have good enough salary to support my brother financially for the living expenses and can prove with evidence (salary slips, savings etc.).
