hi,
i am an Indian citizen at present living in spain on a resident card. i plan to move to ireland and set up my own small business. is that possible if yes how?

Presumably you are referring to the Republic of Ireland and not Northern Ireland...

With the Rep of Ireland, it is not easy to set up a business on your own - the usual way is to get a Work Permit - however, its only the employer who can get it for you.

Secondly, the Irish governement is apparently reducing the number of work permits issued as a result of the recent EU expansion..

The other option open to you is to acquire Spanish full resience - and Spanish ppt..which will give you working rights in all EU countries
