BC family application process - Query

Post by vchandran1982 » Sun Mar 21, 2021 5:23 pm

Hi Moderators,

Can you please help me to clarify my below query as I am planning for a travel India and will be useful to understand the process/conditions before I make any travel arrangements.

BC applicants: 2 Adults and 2 Kids
Settled Status: ILR for all (5 Years + 1 year to meet the BC criteria)
BC application online submission date: 24-12-2020
BC Biometric submission date: 25-01-2020
Approval status: Awaiting response
Invitation status: Awaiting response

Since we made the BC application as a family (2 adults and 2 kids), I want to understand whether the invitation will be send collect the Naturalization certificate and Registration certificate from council all at the time or Registration certificate for the kids will be received immediately after the Approval status?

As per the below doc: It indicates for the family application, invitation will be sent to collect Naturalization certificate and Registration certificate from council at the same time.

Oath and pledge
Unlike adults, when children successfully obtain citizenship there is no legal
requirement for them to attend a ceremony and take the oath and pledge. However,
if they are part of a successful family application they will receive an invite along with
their parents to attend the ceremony and receive their certificate of registration, and
if they wish, take the oath and pledge.

Can you please provide some guidance with this topic.

Thanks,
Venkatesh
