Family Application

I'm a wife of a British citizen who obtained the naturalisation in 2013. I moved here in September 2014 along with my 3 children who are now 8,17 and 21 years old and were all born in Pakistan. We obtained our ILR in July 2017 which means we have had it for more than 2 years.
We're planning to apply for citizenship as a family via the old method. I know two of my kids will have to apply as children and my eldest and I will have to apply as adults. I've found the application forms we will need to send off; MN1 for children and AN for adults.
I have a few questions regarding the application process:

• Will it okay if I put all the application forms in one big envelope along with a cheque that covers the total fees for all of us? or will I have to send off separate cheques for each application?

• What else would I need to send off with application forms and the cheques?

• on the very top of the MN1 section where it asks '1.1 Indicate the section of the British Nationality Act 1981 under
  which you would like the application considered. See chapter 2 of
  the Guide for details' what am I supposed to write? I've checked the guidelines and it appears its the section 3(1). Could anyone please verify if thats right for sure looking at the details I mentioned above?

• Last but not the least, how long would the application take to get acknowledged and when will we be called in for biometrics and to submit our documents?

What 'old method' are you referring to? You must apply online using the new system.

You must apply online and pay online. You also need to enrol biometrics and do document check at UKCVAS.

You should not be using the paper forms. Apply online for yourself and dependants. You can add them to your application. Children under 18 born abroad are registered under Section 3(1) yes or online it is 'OTHER'.

If you insist on applying by post, you will have to post all of your original documents. You won't be able to keep them as you don't use the UKCVAS centres for biometrics and uploading of your documents. Citizenship applications can take up to 6 months, often longer.

We only want to apply through post because I don't think the bank will allow us to pay that much at once

Could you also please let us know what documents I would have to send if I choose to apply through post?

Many have. Simply speak to the bank.

Your child over 18 should ideally apply on their own and meet the English and LIUK requirements. So payment can be made separately then.

The paper forms clearly states it is for those applying from outside the UK or elsewhere not IN the UK.

All original documents, passports, BRPs, Marriage cert, English B1, LIUK, childs birth cert etc etc.

Online you keep all your originals while you wait.

I'm applying as a housewife and mu husband is retired. Would I need to take anything that shows how we get by like p60, payment slips, etc to the appointment? if yes, what are the documents I'd need to show how we get by?

I have uploaded all the required documents online. Now, I want to find out what documents do I need to take with me to the appointment? Also, I applied with my family so, will they check our documents separately or will I (the mum) be able to tag along?
