Financial and Absence requirements for FLR(FP)

Post by matoti » Wed May 01, 2019 2:13 am

Hi everyone..
Need help with 2 sets of information.

My partner and I are on the 30months family leave to remain route with 2 British kids.
My partner is the main applicant and l m a dependent. My partner works full time. I have a limited company for my IT contract and l do have an accountant who files in taxes etc.
Now my new contract requires me to travel overseas for work....for financial criteria is this an issue?
And is there a limited amount of absence from the UK due to work related travel?

Many Thanks.

There is no absence limit for this type of leave at the moment but try your best to keep your absence very reasonable. Regarding financial requirement preferably use your partner's income if he is working & earning sufficiently. I also think that if you cannot meet the financial requirement then still you will get extension under FLR fP route on which you are already on.

British children are exempted from financial requirement.

FLR FP form section 10

Post by matoti » Thu May 02, 2019 11:08 pm

Hello..
Under FLR FP form, my partner and l did an extension on the 2.5x. 4 10 yr route. In the application Our lawyer choses category private life 10yr route and leave outside the rules for basis and family or private life.. our extension was granted for another 2.5yrs.

My question, after reading lots from this forum, why did he not tick the family life as a parent (10yr route)
Since we are both partners living together with a British child.

We are about to go for the 3rd extension, do we have to stick to the categories we chosed in the previous extension?
If we decide to go for the family life as a parent (10 yr route only in this new application will it matter?

Do we have to tick the private life route as well? Is it compulsory?

The private life categories section 10 does require you the times you left and return to the UK..

This l guess they are trying to access your absence from the UK if it's more than 6months or not please correct me if l m wrong.

I have read from online of how FLR spouse visa was refused due to working abroad even when the limited company was based in UK.
Please any advice on what categories to tick will be great.
Thanks

Family life as a parent doesn’t satisfy the relationship requirements when the parents are living together.
