Help private life extension

Post by MisterAli » Mon Aug 12, 2024 3:41 pm

Hi all, this is my first post in this forum.
I have my private life extension( 10 year route) coming up in 2 months.
I have been advised to use a solicitor service but from what I have read online, this should be a straight forward process.
Has any one here had come across same dilemma and submitted application themselves? I would like to see what issues they faced and what are pros and cons of one submitting application without legal representative.
Many thanks

Using a lawyer will only make you poorer. A lawyer has no influence on your application, they literally just fill in the form and very often tell you to submit lots of totally unnecessary documents.

Many do the applications themselves.

Thanks for reply.
Just want to make sure that

form used is flr(fp)?
Also I need 6 months documents( tenancy , bank statement, payslips etc)?
Lastly I can apply for this directly on evisa online, not earlier than 28 days of visa remaining?

A visa extension application is separate and not the same thing as the new e-visa system.

You simply apply and pay online on the relevant visa form in the normal way, attend biometrics and wait for a decision.

FLR FP HELP

Post by MisterAli » Fri Aug 23, 2024 2:15 pm

Hi All,
Since my last post I have decided to apply myself.
I have a quick question regarding section on the form where it states
" Have you ever been refused visa and also
" Have you ever overstayed "

Now since I have been in uk for 23 years , most of the time period was overstay and was refused twice.
But since the grant of 30 months initial visa(2022) and being put on a route , I haven't done any of above.
Can any one explain what to fill in for those questions.

Well it is obviously yes to both. It does clearly ask if you have "ever" been refused or overstayed.

It is not asking about "since leave granted"
