Flr fp

Hi I am on flr fp 10 yrs route .I already spent 5 yrs now I got another extension coming in December. By the time of extension I will be on flr fp for 5 yrs 9 months. The reason 9 months over is the time last extension .which was made by post and it took 9 months to get my visa.
Is there any way I can apply for ILR now or do I have to complete 10 yrs on it .on 10 yrs route do I have to wait until my visa expiring time or I can apply 9 months before my 10 yrs complete 9 months before. I have British spouse and 4 British kids my elder one is 10 yrs old .

If you are on the 10 year route, you have to wait 10 years.

You can apply at the 10 year mark at the earliest OR before your visa expires.
