FLR FP 7 year old child

Hello moderators,

I'm new to this forum and require clarification and will be happy if someone can assist.

Firstly a timeline of my immigration history:
Arrived in UK student visa - March 2009
PSW granted in Aug 2011
Switched to Tier 2 - Oct 2013 to exp Aug 2015
Applied in March 2015 on family life as a partner this was refused in October 2015 with right of appeal. Appeal made in November 2015.... No news from appeal till date. Relationship broke down and ended.
Letter received from immigration enforcement in April 2018 to attend reporting centre. I have reported on 2 occasions and the last time I went, I was asked when I would be making an application.

I have a son born in the UK 30 Dec 2011. He will be 7 in December and I'm hoping to make an application on the basis of 7 years.
I'm a single parent, his father has no involvement in his life and I cannot verify his immigration status so he's not an option.
My mother and 2 siblings reside in the UK and are British Citizens and we live together.
I lost my job in Jan 2016 due to my refused application and have held no employment since. My mum has been my sole provider since then

My questions
1. Can I submit my application asap and I mean 1st of Jan as I'm desperate to get the ball rolling.
2. Will I benefit from the premium service as I am worried that I may not get a chance to fully explain my circumstances on paper and I cannot afford a refusal right now.
3. Am I eligible for the 5 year route? Losing my job in 2016 put a strain on my finances and I have a few credit card repayments to make. I can evidence the English language requirement from my masters degree.
4. Does my case stand a success chance as I'm just so frustrated with wasting away and not doing anything tangible with my life.

2. You could probably try premium service, available till some point in January, however note that it is not an interview and you likely won't have an opportunity to explain anything. They base their decisions purely on the documents you submit. You should also bear in mind that a same day decision is not guaranteed, especially for complex applications.

You should also be aware that the Ihs fees are increasing soon, date to be confirmed.

As already advised, you will likely be on a 10 year route to ILR, 4 x 2.5 year visas,if your application is successful.

Thanks for your response. My perception was that the premium service allowed for more opportunity. I'm worried to have to wait for several months to get a decision.
Is it the premium fees that is being increased?
Also as I'm the only one in my family with immigration issues? Will including the passports of my family members in the application strengthen my argument for reasonableness that removal will disrupt me and my son's family life? As truly I have no one to go back to.

No, IHS - immigration health surcharge fee, currently £200 per year and increasing to £400 per year. For a 3.5 year visa, it is currently £500 IHS ply £1033 plus £610 for premium service. IHS will be £10 00 for a 2.5 year visa once the increase takes place then plus £1033 plus £610.
