i have read on this forum that once you are accompanied by your EU spouse and you hold EUFAM4 status, you can go in and out of any EU country. Alot of airline staff don't know about this and make things difficult for travelers. But as far as i am aware, Moroccans do not need a transit visa for the UK.

for e.g. if your flight route is DUBLIN-HEATHROW-CYPRUS, CYPRUS-HEATHROW-DUBLIN, once you arrive in LONDON HEATHROW and show them your EUFAM4 and boarding pass for Dublin flight the immigration at heathrow will grant you a 24 hour transit. The citizens that do require even that TRANSIT visa are Somalis, afghans, sri lankans and few other nationalities, i defo didnt see moroccans.

The airline staff will check their database,
and the computer says you need a UK visit visa.

Here is the airline database, Please print and bring it with you.

Please note, however, that this concession is at the Immigration Officer’s discretion and there is no guaranteed right of entry.
The bloody arrogance, The UK are already breaking the EU law and EU citizens rights

Hi badr-amiche,

first of all welcome to the forum!

Next, I´d strongly advise you to change the topic of your thread to something meaningful, such as "From Ireland to Cyprus with 4EUFam", as the current topic-name is not very enticing to make ppl read it.

Now to your travel-problem:

You are allowed to enter the UK, as long as you travel together with your wife. It´s >>discussed here<<, most notably the homeoffice itself sais:
HomeOffice wrote:Before an Immigration Officer refuses admission to a non-EEA national under
Regulation 11(2) because s/he does not produce an EEA family permit, the IO must
give the non-EEA national reasonable opportunity to provide by other means proof
that he/she is a family member of an EEA national with a right to accompany that
national or join him/her in the UK.
Together with your wife, both passports, the 4EUFam-card and your marriage certificate, you probably won´t have any problems.

My wife and me managed to travel several times to Cyprus, with 4EUFam. We used Czech Airlines via Prague. However flying from Belfast shouldn´t be a problem: When entering NorthernIreland by land you shouldn´t have any checks while crossing, as such you can easily leave from Belfast. For the way back I´d recommend having all said papers ready. The hardest check might well ocurr in Cyprus when trying to leave for Belfast. On arrival in Belfast you may have some discussions in an interview-room, but I´m pretty sure after analysis of the situation they´ll let you go with an apology (apology depending on the level of arrogance of the UK-officer in charge ;) ).

About entering Cyprus: We got some strange looks, and in one occasion the officer had some conversation with a superior (which I didn´t understand through a lack of Greek), but we were always let go without any further inquiry.

Good luck and enjoy Cyprus!

BTW - you can also cross into the Northern part of Cyprus, we never had problems @ Ledra crossing in Nicosia.

Stamp 4EUFAM

Post by malikscompany » Fri Mar 25, 2011 4:15 pm

you can transit for upto 24 hours in UK if you have a confirmed onward flight. it says on UK Embassy website. have a look on the website and print the paper and if they stop you show it to them.

Usually when you go from Ireland to UK your visa and passport is just checked here in Ireland and in UK you go out straght away. they hardly stop you if you are suspecious. but you will not be going out, you will just be transit so I dont think you will have any problem. but make sure you print out from their website.

I read somewhere on this website that someone sent a letter to Cyprus Embassy and they said Stamp 4EUFAM does not need vida, he attached the email reply from Cyprus Embassy. email embassy and then you will be sure.

Goodluck
