Additional Documents

Post by zezeson » Thu Mar 12, 2020 3:47 pm

Good afternoon, please help as I'm in need of clarity. During my biometrics appointment, the gentleman only scanned my passport, brp card, confirmation of appointment and consent form. He said he didn't need them, my solicitor later uploaded some additional documents including the passport, brp card, confirmation of appointment and consent form. They uploaded on the same day before 10pm as per UKVCAS website on some grace period after you attend your appointment. However after reading some posts here and just to be sure, I decided to call the HO and they advised I should send the documents and a cover letter explaining why they weren't uploaded. I did that and I included everything (with the scanned copies of passport, brp card, confirmation of appointment and consent form. My concern is that those four were scanned at the biometrics appointment and then they were uploaded by my solicitor and I also sent them, does this have an effect at all? And how do I check if the other supporting documents were either seen by the case worker or received after sending them by post. Thanks for your help.

In case of anything missing they will email you and allow you to resend. Better to wait and lesson should be learnt that always use self upload service.

Thanks for the advice, so regardless of sending the documents that were already scanned or uploading the documents that were already scanned it won't have any negative impact on the case?

It will largely depend on individual caseworker but members most often are contacted to resend them their missing documents even they have successfully sent it previously.
