Check the decision letter for the ILR, were you told to expect BRP?akuram wrote: ↑Sun Aug 06, 2023 8:10 amHello Need help and feedback from the Board members. Wanted to check if anyone got New BRP when their old BRP is still valid untill 31 dec 2024? We had our BRP valid untill 31 dec 2024 but we applied for our ILR and it is approved. But we have still not heard back about the BRP delivery. Thanks
That’s a good question, given the restricted uses of a physical BRP.akuram wrote: ↑Sun Aug 06, 2023 8:10 amHello Need help and feedback from the Board members. Seems to imply that they may not bother issuing a new physical BRP card to replace one that expires on the same date? You do not need to tell UKVI if your BRP expires on 31 December 2024 but your immigration status (for example, your visa) allows you to stay longer.
You will not need a BRP from 1 January 2025. You’ll be able to prove your immigration status online, without a BRP.
UKVI will update their information on how to prove your immigration status in early 2024. You do not need to do anything and your immigration status will not be affected.
Try to talk to a Chief immigration Officer. If there’s a positive response, then try to get a written confirmation with his/her full contact details.
. We called couple of airports and received positive feedback. They said it’s is fine as long as I carry the decision letter and our old BRP. hopping we will receive the New BRP or at least some clarification from the HO before our rerun flight back to UK. We have decided to travel will be sharing our experience once we return. Thank you for all the info and support The Board is very helpful.
We do not know either.
