I lost my brp. I am on Tier 2 visa which is till august 2017.
I have sent the form on 11/11/2016 and they recieved on 14/11/2016.
But looking at so many posts of delays, I was wondering if I can switch to premium service.
They still have not deducted the fees.

Also since its the replacement of lost brp, I have not sent the passport and I have only sent the copies of documents of identification such as water bill, council tax, employment contract, tenancy contract etcetra
Will that be of any concern.

Please reply!

Many thanks!
You are required to send your passport, the form clearly states this. You only applied yesterday effectively, be patient. The documents you have sent are not forms of identification.

Hi Char!

Thanks for the prompt reply.

Are you sure about the passport thing.

Because while filling the brp rc form, (version 03/2016) section 3 it mentions...
'Section 3 - Reason for Application
C. Reason for Application
We can accept a BRP(RC) application without a passport or travel document in the following
circumstances:
• the BRP(RC) application is made for a straight like-for-like replacement of a lost / stolen BRP or
ISD (there are no change of personal details etc),
and;
• The initial BRP or ISD was issued less than two years ago
• In all other circumstances your current passport or travel document and Biometric Residence
Permit (BRP) must be provided, unless it is not available for one of the reasons specified on the
application form'

Looking forward to your reply.

Didn't have it very long then. Should be ok, but HO can still ask for passport to be submitted.

And Char, just one more thing...... how about switching to premium service.... am I eligible to do that?
Because i read somewhere in the same thread that we are not eligible once the biometrics is done.

I know you can apply in person but I am not sure if you can switch to premium service after posting your application. Some visa applications can upgrade but only with HO approval.

Hello,

I've recently submitted my biometric information for my stolen brp card. I've read through most of cases written here and it seems that most likely it will take a couple of months to receive the decision letter/brp card. Hence, I was wondering if I could actually leave UK to go back home at the beginning of december and when I come back later, I could say that it is still currently under consideration and provide a scanned copy of my previous brp card?

Sorry for the push as I desperately need to go back home to visit my ill grandparents.

BRP(TOC)
14/10/16- submitted application
17/10/16- received at durham
18/10/16-payment taken
4/11/16-biometric letter
10/11/16- biometric enrolment
08/12/16- received passports and supporting evidence
09/12/16- BRP card

I think their processing time is 8 weeks for a standard application but not sure if this applies to replacement cards (though technically it should, given you already had a card with permission status before).

the BRP was via regular post so no signature required. The passports arrived by special delivery which I arranged for so I could track it.

HI Guys,

I am again one of the unfortunate ones and waiting for my replacement card and also for my wife and kid as all of our passports and BRP (ILR) cards were stolen outside UK.

My timelines are:
22/9/16- received at durham
23/9/16-payment taken
28/9/16-biometric letter
29/9/16- biometric enrolment

Still waiting for any documents or BRP card to be received. I had sent all my passports and documents so literally have nothing with me.

I had originally got my ILR BRP card on 30th december 2015.

Anyone has any timelines they can share? Thanks.

@Poiu098, seems we are sailing in the same boat..BTW in your case you should have asked your solicitor for applying the same day replacement service at his cost since he lost it?
