New online set(m) application process

Post by Sulaim1981 » Sun Jan 20, 2019 7:37 pm

Hi there,

Apologies in advance if I have posted this in a wrong category. Could anyone please clarify if I can still post the application, documents etc after applying online for ilr ( spouse, 5 year route, set(m)). Does the application give an option to post the documents at all please instead of having to go through ukvcas centres? Also do post offices still provide biometric services for postal applications please or it is now only ukvcas centres ? Thanks a lot guys!!!

1. Please do not tag your question onto other members topics when you have your own topic already.

2. The online process will give you the options of which service you want at the end of the application.

Hi CR001,

Sorry about that.. I am new to the site & trying to find my way around.. Could you confirm at all if there is standard postal service option still available at all for set(m) online application process. If so I would like to know if post offices still provide biometric services. Any help much appreciated guys 👍 👍 👍

As far as I am aware, postal is still an option. Post Office still does biometrics enrolment too.

Hi CR001,

Thank you so much. Really good to hear. I will be making the application in one or two days. Sorry I have few more questions if I could ask..
Do I need to provide a landlord letter at all please as we are in rented accommodation? Thanks.

Sponsor payslips we need to provide 6 months or 12 months please? He is in Salaried employment with overtime etc.

Yes, fine to apply as long as it is within 28 days before your 5 anniversary of entry to the UK.

Hi CR001, I just saw your reply regarding the application timing. I have a problem regarding online submission (tried to call home office contact number, however, it just wasted the time and money, never got through the answer I need). My 5 anniversary of entry to the UK will be on 18/03/2019. The application can be made 28 days before the visa due. The 28 days means online submission date or the date of the Core service centre appointment? As it is the new system, it is quite different from the old service I used before. I accidentally pay the money and submit it today but I haven't book the appointment for the documents checking act. If you are able to answer my question that will be much appreciated. Thank you!

Hi CR001,

I am in the middle of filling set(m) application ( 5 year spouse route) . My sponsor is on Salaried employment with overtime. Form is asking for 12 months of payslips instead of 6..is this a mistake on form or do they now require 12 months of payslips please ? Thanks a lot in advance 👍
