Hi Kerboodle,

Thanks for replying. Yes it's same with me. I finished by 1:30. My number was 21. I hope we receive something today atleast. Please post if you or anyone you know receive any updates. It helps to understand this new system. Your help is much appreciated.
Thanks
Hi priyakat,

Well it's my understanding now that, the decision is actually going to come through the physical mail. On one of these threads, someone who had their appointment same day as me had the decision come to them in the mail this morning without any prior email confirmation. So i guess we just have to wait and keep our fingers crossed ours come tomorrow in the mail.

Hi Guys,

I want to share my experience at Sopra Steria Birmingham Centre.
I went to the centre with my wife for SET(O) application (paid for super premium service). We had an appointment scheduled at 12.00. we went 30 minutes early and they took us in.

Upon arrival we were greeted in a friendly manner and made us aware about the process.
They called us in after 15 minutes to check in and 15 minutes later for biometric enrollment. The process was simple and took around 10 minutes to finish. It was 12.15 on the clock.

Now the fun part begins - We waited till 1345 for our turn to verify our documents uploaded.
They took 30 minutes to verify documents and told us my wife made a mistake in enrolling her biometric (which I think was bullshit. The machine which takes your biometric was intelligent enough to decide whether the enrollment is proper or it won't allow you to proceed) and need to redo. We got it done in 15 minutes. They called us again to proceed with the application, they found the previous agent made some mistake on our application and locked it (the person who locked the application went off for the day). They fiddle around and ask for help to every team member. Finally she called manager. Manager couldn't do anything so she asked us if we would like to go home or could wait. We told her we will wait for her to complete the process.

Waited for 1.30 hours, she talked to IT about the issue and informed us that she submitted the application. We so far has not received any confirmation about submission. By the time we leave the complex it was 1600 hours.

If this is the service they will provide then I am happy with previous premium center run by home office. They were more sufficient and organised (and you get decision same day).

Absolutely Gutted!!!

this is a good thread to follow regarding other people in our situation. I'm sure they will keep us updated when they get decisions.

My husband has just received a letter of approval for his ILR application, today, 17 November 2018. He was at Birmingham UKVCAS on 13th November. Received no email or letter until about 30 minutes ago when a letter came from the home office, dated 14th November, confirming approval and delivery of his BRP within 7 days.

Hi, Does anyone know how long it takes for the decision to be made if going by the Super Priority Service being offered by Sopra Steria/UKVCAS? Is this the same day/next day service or does the 6 months general timeline apply?

Congrats timipre! At least it shows the new system works but the digital communication does not.

Yes, the new system works. I believe communication will be adjusted soon. If application was completed at Centre on 13th November and decision was made 14th (24 hours later, as letter shows) and letter delivered to home on 16th November (two days later), this fits into the same experience as another person who received his, 4 days after visiting the London Lounge.

Many thanks for update.
Its frustrating that we were not given this simple information that we will receive our outcome by post !!

I submitted my biometrics for ILR at London premium lounge on 14/11/2018. The agent just told me that UKVI will communicate with me. I was anxiously waiting and checking email thousand of time. After online submission I received two emails from UKVI(one for confirmation of submission and one yesterday for submission of biometrics !!!).
They could at least let us know by email that a decision has been made and will follow in post.
Anyway, hopefully I should receive mail tomorrow.

Hi all,

Also wanted to share my experience with the new process:

- Paid £60 for 12pm appointment in Cambridge on Friday 16 November (Set M, premium service)
- Arrived early (11.30am)
- Was told to make sure that I was in the general area 5 minutes before appointment by a worker at the library
- Sat in the cafe area adjacent to the desk
- Happened to ask a member of staff if I needed to inform them that I was here to be told that there were significant delays and they handed me a ticket basically meaning that the paid appointment was void and that other people who should have been after me were probably seen before me
- Other people that had an appointment at 10am had not been seen still when I turned up
- No clear signs up anywhere detailing the delay and what visitors need to do when they arrive
- We were finally seen at around 4.30pm and the appointment took approximately 25 minutes (all of my documents were scanned in prior to the appointment so the 25 minutes were for the biometrics and to confirm all scanned documents were legible)
- Many people were turned away from their appointments because of the delays (biometric machine and internet connections issues)
- There was only 1 station to deal with appointments, it wasn't closed off so it wasn't very private so others could hear and see what was going on
- The staff that were carrying out the appointments were doing the work on behalf of Sopra Steria and did receive a lot of abuse from angry customers which was uncalled for as they were not from Sopra Steria
- Overheard one of the staff say that too many appointments had been issued which also caused a backlog so FYI, be prepared for a very long day!
- Have since sent a complaint to Sopra Steria and requested to have the appointment fee refunded and will also be asking for a contribution to our £25 car park fee because we were there for over 5 hours.
- As another FYI, please do your best to upload your documents in advance as the equipment seemed from reliable.

Now I just wait for my outcome which hopefully will be Monday/Tuesday as the application was submitted just after 5pm so that might cause a slight delay.

Good luck to everyone that has to go through this and also let me know if there are any other topics that I can post this to so more are aware.

Hi mginn79! Thank you for sharing your experience. I have a question about passport scan/upload: do we need to scan/upload all pages (including blank pages and cover page) or just pages with stamps/signs on?

I just came back from my appointment. It was at the London Premium Lounge.

It was for ILR (SET O). Appointment was for 10.30 AM, went in at 10.15 AM, got an agent assigned at 10.45 AM, was out by 11.15 AM. All in all it went OK. Luckily no technical issues as faced by a few here. By the way, finding the place is a little tricky. Its right after 2 Minster Court on Mark Lane, London, with a small red board on the footpath.

Took my bio-metric details (photo, fingerprints, signature), verified the original docs, scanned all pages of the passports and uploaded them. They returned all the documents and retained only the digital copies.

On the next steps, they did not have a clear answer on when UKVI would contact me and let me know of the decision. I told them about the 'Super Priority' service and the 24 hour limit but all I got was 'we are just the people to verify and submit your documents, we can't comment on UKVI timelines'. They said I could be contacted either by email or mail (address on my application) and it could be either with a decision or requesting for more evidence (although the lady did say my documents were in order).

The key thing is they don't know about our application i.e. what type, what circumstances etc. All they have and use is the documents checklist, capture our bio-metrics, verify docs against the checklist and scan/upload any docs if not done already.

Now the waiting begins.

Hello.can you please help me as im confused,i was refused asylum in 2008 and was given decrecionary leave to remain in 2012 and reaplyed for another 3 years in 2015, and now after finishing 6 years of dlr i want to apply fot ilr but i don't know wich form to apply online.shall i use set(o) or not????

Hi mginn79, thank you for sharing your experience. Fingers crossed you get a decision by early this week. I’m assuming you paid for the 24 hour decision? Also regarding your SET M, did your spouse attend the appointment with you? I know all old premium service appointments at PSC I had my spouse attending the appointment.
Many thanks.
