grandson visit to uk

Post by Freebee2 » Wed Apr 27, 2016 1:34 am

My grandson is coming on a stay with me from USA and is a US citizen, his father emigrated to the US many years ago although he still has a United Kingdom passport. how difficult would it be for him to get a temporary work permit.

On what basis does his father have a UK passport?

Sorry Vinny,
My son was born in Scotland from Scottish parents, and immigrated to USA with his American wife.

Unless your grandson holds a UK passport he can not undertake any work in the UK without the appropriate work visa. There is no such thing as a temporary work visa.

Grandson is a British citizen by descent. Apply for a British passport for him as stated above.
