Showing records of employment

Post by brightb23 » Tue May 07, 2019 3:37 pm

I have few questions and any help will be appreciated

1, can i show tax records, payment slips without submitting my bank statement?

2, I recently got married in my home country (Nigeria) All this be recognised in the UK?

3, I was once married to an EEA citizen and we separated in 2015, our divorce was finally dissolved in April 2019, hence the reason why i was able to finally re-marry, will this be an issue in her application ?

4, I got my citizenship through my ex-wife, will this be an issue?

Any advise will be appreciated

1. No, tax records are not accepted. Bank statements are mandatory.

2. If the marriage took place after your divorce yes.

3. Should not be an issue.

4. No.

Help with spouse application

Post by brightb23 » Wed May 15, 2019 10:31 am

Hi everyone, A reply will be appreciated

I’m currently unable to show bank statement for the last six months but have wageslips and Tax documents to show how much i earned which is above the 18,900 mark, will not submitting bank statement be an issue?

Secondly my spouse has lived in the UK for 6 months now, does she still need a TB test? She did one few months ago before she got her student visa to study in the UK and she is still currently a student, we only travelled to our home country few weeks ago for the court wedding.

If she has to take another TB test, is it possible to do this in the UK since she is already here.

Thanks for your reply

I already answered this question on the 7th May. The answer does not change if you post a new topic with the same question. Your topics have been merged. If you do not submit bank statements, the application will be refused.

Probably not.

I just discovered you answered the questions. Thanks a lot

One last thing i’m not sure of is the TB test, how can we be certain that she doesn’t have to take one and it’s it possible to do one in the UK since she is already here ?

How long has she been in the UK??

Presumably she was required to do one for the current visa she holds.

TB tests are not usually required for people applying within the UK.

She did one with the current Visa she holds which is a student visa, She arrived the UK 20 of January and the only time she left the UK since then was when we both travelled back home for our marriage

We are applying soon and i’m worried the visa will be refused on the ground that she didn’t do a TB test. I just went to know if it’s important or
not and also if she can do it in the UK

Thanks a lot

You are overthinking the TB test issue.

You should be more concerned by the fact that you are deciding not to send bank statements for a minimum of 6 months. This will result in an instant refusal.

The TB test is important and i guess no one has had my kind of situation

The issue with the bank statement is that, i’m both employed and self employed

My salary is being paid to my account which i can show but my self employment is also being paid to my account and i’m thinking that will be an issue

Which income are you using to meet the financial requirement?

Are you both employed by a company AND self employed???

Have you read Appendix 1.7 to see what is required in terms of documents for self employed earnings?? Page 18 explains what categories you can combine.

https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... ext_1_.pdf

If she has recently done a TB test AND is currently applying to switch WITHIN the UK, then she likely does NOT require another test!!

I’m both employed and self employed. I was employed until April 2019 with my previous company earning the minimum wage of 12,500 annual

During the period i was also self employed with total income of 11,900 Until April 2019 when i decided to make my company a limited company

I quit my previous job after getting employment with a different company which started in March, earning 12,950 Annually. I have now worked for my new company for three months
