Hold 2 UK visa at the same time

Hi,

I came to UK back in 2018 as a Tier 2 ICT dependant which is set to expire by May 2020. Recently travelled back to India, applied for Tier 2 General visa and got the visa stamped successfully starting from 25 Oct 2019.

I was planning to return back to UK on 23 Oct 2019 but as my new visa(tier 2 general) starts only from 25th Oct, can i travel back using my old visa(tier 2 ICT)?

Is my old visa still valid as i got my new visa? Can i have 2 visas at the same time?

Please advice.

No. Two visas issued under UK immigration system cannot co-exist.

While in some conditions the stickers may show an overlap, in fact only 1 visa is valid at a time. When the last visa is issued, the previous one is cancelled without prejudice.

So at the moment, you have a Tier 2 visa that starts in October 25th. That's the only valid visa you have at the moment. The previous visa is no longer valid regardless of its expiry date.
