Holiday Leave in Tier2 General

Post by ronychy2010 » Wed Jul 01, 2015 10:43 am

Dear experts,
Currently im on Tier-2 general visa and my visa will expire on 2017. Im going to back home for 3 weeks holiday.
I thought i should take a holiday letter from my employer just in-case immigration officer ask for it when i gonna back. Wondering, who should sign the holiday letter. Is it the Administration department or the main contact person of UKVI (office representative to maintain tier2 license)?

thanks a lot for your time.

You don't need a 'holiday letter' to go on holiday and to re-enter the UK. Immigrants are allowed to go on holiday and travel as long as you have a valid visa when you return.

You will however need a letter from your employer when/if you apply for ILR.

On a Tier 2 visa, absences should not be more than 180 days per 12 month cycle.
