Husband Naturalization certificate copy for spouse apply

Dear Senior members,
I am going to apply for British Passport and sending original naturalization certificate.I also want to apply my wife naturalization by post and sending copy of my naturalization certificate as evidence of my british nationality .I am not using any NCS service.
Please advise me whether copy of my naturalization certificate will be ok for my wife naturalization application.

You should send the original.

For the small fee charged for using NCS, it really would be more beneficial to get to keep all your original documents.

Alternatively, wait till you get your passport and then she can apply.

Thanks for your quick reply.
Its about 3 days I am waiting NCS Call to arrange an appointment and I do not know how long they will take and which date they will arrange an appointment.To save time for both of us I am applying through post.
Will it be mandatory to send the original naturalization certificate ? As they are asking copy of British passport not the original so I believe copy of naturalization certificate will be ok.

Your copy may not be acceptable.

No evidence or hint from the guide that a copy can be sent:

Evidence of British citizenship

Your spouse’s or civil partner’s current passport or naturalisation/registration certificate showing that he/she is a British citizen.
...

There is mention that a copy of passport can be posted; it doesn't say same for a NC.

You risk wasting time by causing a delay due to follow up queries from HO asking for sight of the original document.

Suggest go to NCS; they will take & send certified copies for you. That's the point of using NCS.
Postpone any pre-arranged appointment if need be.
