T2 ICT dependent to T2 General with same employer

Hi,

My wife is on a Tier 2 ICT dependent visa. A company is offering her a job. They are ready to hire her in the Dependent visa with a promise to process Tier 2 General visa later.

Is that possible? Can an employer sponsor a Tier 2 General visa for someone who is already working for them?

Yes it is possible provided the sponsor has completed the full and proper RLMT process and can get an RCoS approved for her to apply for a tier 2 visa from home country.

Along with her T2 General visa application, can I apply as her dependent? If I do, would that automatically cancel my T2 ICT visa?

Yes you can and yes it will and you would have to inform your sponsoring employer once your visa has changed.
