Needs a Schengen.hmm wrote:Hi All,
A person who has ILR in UK need to get a visa to travel Italy??
She only wants to travel to Italy for 2 weeks. Is there a 'Italian tourist visa'?? I don't see the point of applying for a Schengen visa as she is only going to travel to one country?
Advise please.
I think the Schengen C visum acts as a 'tourist visa' just like in other Schengen countries.hmm wrote:Hi All,

Check their appointment system but it can be a few months in summertime to get an appointment.hmm wrote:Thanks for your replies. So got to apply for Schengen in Italian embassy in London.

Is it true that if the ILR person travelled with their British Spouce to Europe then the ILR person no need to get visa for travelling??
Is there any document that we can get to prove that the ILR person can travel without a visa? such as copy of that rule or something? where can I find some official statement stating that?Wanderer wrote:Yes, ur second point is true, but the issue is with officialdom, not necessarily the IO's - for example the airline will most likely not allow boarding since they see no visa and fine for them at the other end.hmm wrote:T
