Hi Gurus,
Good Afternoon, I am eligible for ILR on 10 years route in next few months [exactly on 15/8/2019 as I came to uk on 13/9/2009]..so far I have travelled to india 2 times on leave and each time I was in India for a period of 30 days that means I stayed out of uk for a period of almost 60 days only.
Now I would like to clarify that how long I can stay in India in a single time that means can i stay in India for a period of 58 days in one stretch..please clarify on this as I am in india on annual leave currently and planning to come back to uk on 16/6/2019..
Thanks and Regards,
scher.

For long residence ILR it is an absence of 180 days in one go that would break your continuous residence. You also must not have more than 540 days absence in the whole 10 years.

Hi I came to uk on sep 2009 on tier 4 visa, currently i am on tier 2 general visa which will expire on 20/1/2020 and I am eligible for ILR on 10 years route on 16/9/2019. So I am filling set(lr) application form.
My wife joined me on oct 2014 as my tier 2 dependent and her visa will be expiring on 20/1/2020. My son who born in UK on dec 2015 is currently in India along with his grandparents .
While filling the set (lr) application form, I cane across the question as mentioned below
Do you have any children aged 18 years or under who are living in the UK?
What should i answer to this question..please clarify on this as I am planning to apply my son's citizen ship once I get ILR successfully..
Thanks and Regards,
scher

Hi All,
I would like to thank a lot for this forum and members of this forum. This forum helped me a lot for achieving my ILR successfully and I would like to share my story which might be helpful for the members of this forum.
My Immigration History:
13/9/2009 Entry as a Student On Tier 4 visa
Two student extensions and Post study work visa until 24/4/2014
Tier 2 General Visa (3 years) from 2014 to 2017
Tier 2 Extension Visa (3 years) from 2017 to 24/1/2020
I have qualified to apply ILR on 10 years route on 13/9/2019 hence I have submitted my ILR application on 20/8/2019[ We can Submit the application on or after 28 days before our qualifying date].
Here is my time as mentioned below
Date application (online) : 19/08/2019 Super Priority service
Documents Uploaded through UKCVAS : 19/08/2019
Date of UKCVAS Appointment (if applicable) : 20/08/2019 08:00 am at Glassgow Centre
Payment Debited : 20/08/2019
Super Priority Delay Notification Email: 27/8/2019 at 10.00am
Right to work website: Changed to "There is no limit on how long you can stay in the UK" 27/08/2019 15:00
Decision/approval e-mail: I have not received
BRP received: Received on 2/9/2019 at 11.30 am
Decision letter (post): Approval letter Received on 29/8/2019 with Date on 27/8/2019
Documents I have Scanned and Uploaded on to Sopra website:
1. All pages of My Previous Passport and Current Passport
2. My current Tier 2 general BRP card
3. My Masters degree certificate to prove the level of English language.
4. All pages of My wife's Passport.
5. My wife's Tier 2 Dependent BRP card.
6. My Life in the UK test pass notification
7. Council tax Annual Statements with both me and my wife's name on the statements from last 5 years.
They have asked for just last 2 years but I have submitted from the last 5 years.
8.Marriage Certificate
9.My last 6 moths Bank statements[This is not mandatory but nice to submit]
10.Letter from my employer with my job title and current salary and one line in the letter stating that this employee is required by the company for unforeseeable future[Again this letter is not Mandatory but nice to submit].
My experience at Glasgow Sopra Centre:
I have booked my appointment at 8.00am so I have reached the centre by 7.30 am as I have travelled from another city. The staff did not let me into the office so I went to a coffee shop just next to the Sopra centre and came back to centre sharply by 8.00 am. They have allowed me to get into the office by 8.00 am but they have not taken my biometrics until 9.00 am as their staff did not turn up until 9.00am for some reason. They have taken my biometrics and verified my scanned documents and then finally submitted my application by 9.30 am.
I have taken all of my original documents and xerox copies as well but they have taken just my Passport and scanned some pages of my current passport and they returned it to me. They have not taken any original documents. Also no photos are required. Lady who submitted my application told me that I will receive decision of my application with in 24 hours.
I received email on 27/8/2019 at 10.00am stating that we will refund 800 pounds as there as delay in dealing your case and we will make decision as soon as possible..But I have received my approval letter on 29/8/2019 and BRP card on 2/9/2019. I have not received my refund yet but I hope I will receive it soon..
I wish all the best for the guys who will be applying for ILR on 10 years route..

Hi
Congratulations.
How do you check the right to work please? Do they not ask you for BRP number? Do you still put the old BRP number?

Yes, you can still put your old Brc number and you can see that it has been changed.
