ILR - Apply as Partner (family visa)

Post by Shand197188 » Tue May 03, 2022 3:14 am

I am a British citizen and my wife has just completed her 2nd Leave to Remain Residence Permit (5 year route). Her initial visa was issued in April 2017. We renewed it in October 2019 and now applying for Indefinite Leave to Remain.

We have completed the application, but it is asking us to pay £1500 for the IHS. It was my understanding that we don’t need to pay this. Is there something we are missing?

A couple of questions made us scratch our heads, so perhaps that has impacted the IHS calculation.

1. What is the start date of your current visa OR Leave to Remain? We put in the October 2019 date. Should we have put in the original 2017 date?

2. Is this the first time you have applied for a partner route or extension with your current partner? We put in No.

If the questions above are answered correctly is there something else we are missing? Or do we have to pay this fee and get it refunded?

Which form are you completing exactly, FLR M?

This is not the ILR form. It is form SET M for ILR if a spouse settlement visa has been held for 5 years.

i agree with the previous reply, you must have got the wrong form.

ILR SET M is the correct one, IHS does not appear in this application.
