ILR Dependent Set O Application

Hi All,

We have submitted the Set 0 ILR application for dependents. After 2 weeks of waiting, I have received the below update from Home office.

You have made an application for settlement in the UK as a dependant of yourself which is not possible.
You must now re-apply and ensure that if you are applying as a dependant partner, you enter the details of your partner under the sponsor information section.
If you do not wish to apply as a dependant partner, please choose a different application type and apply under that route.
Once we have received a fresh application, we can void this application and return any appropriate fees as per our refund policy.
Please note that any other dependants listed on this application will also need to re-apply with the correct sponsor information.


I am filling the new application, Can you please help the actual mistake they are highlighting in the response. I am not clear and the confused on what went wrong. Also, the dependents BRP has expired. Can we re-submit the application with the cover letter for the BRP issue. ??? Yes as existing application that has not being decided

Also, please confirm the refund process for the first application. They refund the full amount including the priority fee?? No

Thanks for your response. Please clarify me on the below one,

Does the period of stay on which this application was based include any leave granted since 11 January 2018? Yes

Have you had any absences from the UK during any leave granted since 11 January 2018? No

Her initial visa was granted Jun 2017 and we have done the extension on Jun 2020. She took absence for 20 days in Sep 2019 and no absence after the extension.

Can you please inform me the answers for these two questions in the application.

Hi All,

Thanks for your help and I have submitted the ILR dependent application for wife and kids. Due to issue in the earlier application for their ILR, i have filled new one and submitted.

I don't see any free appointment for two weeks to provide the biometrics. As mentioned, this is re-submit application (after BRP expiry) do I need to booked the paid appointment and finish the biometrics process fast or fine for two weeks waiting for biometrics. Fine for 2weeks

Please confirm me on this one. Thanks in advance.

Do I need to submit the Application Varying form to process the current Application while the earlier one was in pending??

Please privy me the sample format of varying for to clarify the second application and request for the refund for the earlier one…
