ILR Form Set (o) BRP Questions

Post by Mercyknight » Wed Sep 16, 2015 1:26 pm

Hi,

My wife is applying via the 6 year Discretionary Leave route. I don't believe she has a BRP just a standard VISA in her passport.

Do we need to apply for one of these separately or is the application of ILR including the BRP, this is the last part of section 10:

10.21 Declaration
As required by the Immigration (Biometric Registration) Regulations 2008 (as amended) I
confirm that I also apply for a biometric immigration document for myself and any dependants
applying with me. If I am a sole applicant under the age of 16, or if any dependant child under
the age of 16 is applying with me, I understand that the Home Office may make enquiries about
any responsible adult nominated to be present when my/their fingerprints and/or a photograph
are taken.

I can't work out where that means I'm declaring that we've applied for one, or whether it's stating that we're happy to apply for one?!

Any help would be appreciated!

It is part of the process for ILR. You don't need to do anything before you apply.
