ILR rest

Post by Nuaman » Fri Feb 17, 2023 1:58 pm

I have been living in the UK for the past 4 years on a skilled worker visa, My wife has her own skilled worker visa however die to work issues i had to resign my job, i am currently looking for another job. My questions are ;
1. I didn’t get a job in time and decided to apply for a dependent visa under my wife’s m, will that reset the ilr clock?
2. How long would I be allowed to stay in the UK once the sponsor withdraw their cos knowing that I still have around 9months left for brp expiry?

Thanks

Yes, if you switch to dependent visa, your 5 year ILR clock resets to zero.

Until UKVI curtail/cancel your visa and you will be informed of this in writing but it could take a while. Note that you are not permitted to do any work at all if you are not working for your visa sponsor.
