ILR set M- 5 years route- parent

Post by sad555 » Tue Apr 05, 2022 5:08 pm

Hello members

Hope you are doing well and thanks for sharing your valued information and experience.

I am preparing my ILR application set M as a parent of a British child and planning to apply via super priority service. I initially was approved for 10 years visa route and switched to 5 years route as parent of a British Child once I met the conditions.

-10 years route was approved on 05/02/2015
-Switched to 5 years route on 13/07/2017 (as stated in my BRP)
- Current visa expires on 25/06/2022

Can you help me with below questions please?

1- When is the earliest I can submit my application online and pay the fees? Is the day of the appointment considered the submission date ?

2- How long in advance I can book the appointment on UKVCAS for my super priority service?

Thanks

1. Date of application is the date you submit and pay online and not the biometric appointment date. You can apply for ilr no sooner than within 28 days before reaching 60 months in the 5 year route

2. You can only book the appointment after you have submitted and paid online. The appointment is not a super priority service. Super priority is a UKVI service not a UKCVAS appointment service

Thanks for your reply.

1- My visa was issued on 13/07/2017(5 years route), so minus 28 days the earliest day I will be qualified for ILR will be 14/06/2022?

2- Thanks for the clarification regarding the super priority service which is UKVI service. If I submit my application online on 02/05/2022 and book the appointment on 14/06/2022 will I meet the 5 years period? I saw Zimba in few posts stating the date of the appointment will be considered as date of application

Thanks

1. Yes
2. The date of your application remains the same as the date you applied online. UKVI simply uses the date that is most beneficial to you. So if possible, the date of decision is used.
