ILR Tier 2 dependent same day appoinment not available before my visa expires.

My husband recently got ILR and i am now eligible to apply. The problem is there is no appoinment before my visa expiry date. I.e. my visa expires on 28th september and the latest available appoinment is 7th of october. Gov website states a 14 day grace period and a GOOD REASON can be accepted. My question is 'Is this a good reason?' Will I be termed as 'overstayed' and face any consequence in the future. I am panicking a bit. Please HELP!

You need to apply before your visa expires. You have likely left it too late to get an appoinment. You will probably have to apply by post.

A 'good reason' would be something like being hospitalised etc.

Have you checked all the centres or were you specifically looking for any specific one. Please check all the available centres. Normally you get appointments at Glasgow centre even in couple of days advance.
