ILR 2-Year Absence after COVID-19

Post by ammaralvi » Wed Jul 15, 2020 2:31 pm

Has the rule of "ILR automatically lapsing after 2-year absence" changed/amended to accommodate the travel restrictions due to COVID-19? Tried searching the forum, but couldn't find anything specific. Would really appreciate your help.

That rule is still intact and COVID19 isn't occurring from the last 2 years.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

Obviously, COVID-19 isn't going on from the last 2 years. But, the 2-year rule is there for a reason; and if one has been waiting for the COVID-19 conditions to become normal a bit and asks a questions if the rule itself has been relaxed, as many others have been, there's no specific need to pin them down.
