The chances of succeeding are pretty low unless you can show that you would be living outside the UK in the most exceptional compassionate circumstances. See

Hello Sunny22,
I will suggest you goggle this information while you are waiting for response from forum members. Are you doing the same thing as Judicial review?.

Permission to appeal refused

Post by sunny22 » Mon Nov 25, 2013 3:47 pm

Hi, I am 27 years old and I came to uk on a student visa in year 2007. i made an SET(F) application to settle here in the uk in 2012 on the basis that my whole family( father, mother, younger brother) is present here in UK and are British nationals. My initial application was refused by home office and I was issued with the removal instructions. I went to the immigration tribunal courts seeking leave on the human rights grounds and private life but my appeal was refused by the judge and removal instructions were left undealt. I applied for the upper tribunal courts for the permission to appeal but was granted a hearing only to deal with removal instructions and my family wasn’t heard at all for the human rights and private life claims. I then applied for permission directly to court of appeal for the permission to come to the court but now court of appeal has also refused the permission to come to court……..i don’t know what to do next. i have lived here in uk for 6 and a half years and have nothing to go back to in my home country as all my family if here. Can you please suggest me what could I do next, if I can make a further application or anything else I could do. I’m really desperate……your help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Kindest regards

You have no basis to remain or be grantd permission to remain. You are not a child and have freely chosen to delay you departure and make frivolous applications that have no merit. I can't see anyway that you can regularise your status.

The judicial review claim must be filed promptly, and at the most within three months after the decision was made or the action taken although it is open to the Court to accept a late claim. You can read more here

there should be a sticky for most common reasons why so many refusals occur

so we can then try to be more vigilant on those details.

A list common mistakes people make when submitting applications would help...
and also what causes delay....
ALL experienced people to reply to the following please.....
the visa office is refusing to communicate to the sponsor, the sponsor is the spouse....in a spouse application.... they say data protection, they say get the applicant to give authority...

is that not stupid becuase all over the application the applicant has written that their relationship is genuine and close AND sponsor would need to supply a lot of documents on that file....

please comment? tell us your experiences..

did you file a letter of authority giving powers to the sponsor ???? NO .. so did you have this problem

Please advise me

Post by sunny22 » Tue Apr 19, 2016 11:43 am

Hi, I came to uk on a student visa in year 2007. stayed on student visa for 4 years until march 2012. because of some circumstances i made an SET(F) application to settle here in the uk in 2012 on the basis that my whole family( father, mother, younger brother) is present here in UK and are British nationals, which i realised long time back was a mistake. but anyway, My initial application was refused by home office and I was issued with the removal instructions. I went to the immigration tribunal courts seeking leave on the human rights grounds and private life but my appeal was refused. i went to upper tribunal with no success. applied for supreme court and again no success. then i made application FLR(O) which was refused too. in june 2014 i was granted temporary admission for a person liable to be detained. i have been reporting every month at Solihull reporting centre from past 2 years with no permission to work. i received a letter today stating that i have an INTERVIEW at Solihull reporting centre in June and i need to bring in all my documents. what does this INTERVIEW mean..?? can you please guide me what should be my course of action. i dont have any present applications pending with the home office. your help will be appreciated. Kind Regards

I am just thinking it makes more easier by having a valid passport if the HO wants to issue you a visa to stay in the UK after the coming interview.

@Sony22,

I am also a student like you with a family members who are British citizens.

I am also on temporary admission reporting for the past 2 year at Eaton house. I was interviewed at Eaton house last year when my case was going on at the Court of Appeal. Though I was reporting at Eaton house i was not asked to bring any documents with me for the interview they did for me. The interview was done on their own without giving me any notice. I just got there and they told me that they want to do an interview for me.

Concerning your interview i can only advise you more if i know what they say the interview is for and the lists of document they said you should bring.

I am still currently online for today if you want me to assist you and advise you. But you have to help me with the above questions so that i can help you as well.

My brief history is: i was sponsored by my parents to study in the UK. They are british citizens with my siblings and are all resident here and I am still here without any threatening letter from the Home Office.

Hope this will starts as a helping line for you.
