No information since, 8 weeks since the date of the application have passed and I haven't heard anything at all. I requested an update on my application through the contact centre and they replied that my application has not yet been decided and they are unable to provide the timeframe for the decision (even though the original letter from the Home Office said that if they don't make it within 8 weeks, they would send me a letter with a new timeframe).

Sorry about the last paragraph, I didn't want to create a new topic and couldn't find a more suitable one. I'm very very worried, is it time to contact my MP or shall I wait?

I have on numerous occasions contacted them to get a update. Me and my spouse need to travel end of march for a cricket tournament. Im very anxious and wanted to know that If they were to find a reason for rejection, would they have rejected by now? Or is it just taking long because they are busy? If i dont hear bk by this friday im considering paying for the one week fast track service.

Update:
MP contacted: 19 Mar 18 (as I haven't heard anything from the Home Office)
Decision: positive
Date of decision: 20 Mar 18
Documents received on: 23 Mar 18 (was supposed to be 22/03 but I wasn't at home so I had to go to the post office next day)
BRP card received: 27 Mar 2018 (was supposed to be 23/03/2018 but they tried to deliver when I went to the post office to receive my documents)

So luckily all sorted now, even though it is almost 4 weeks later than it was supposed to be! I think contacting my MP really made a change (one I managed to get hold of him) - the decision was made on the next day after the enquiry was sent by the MP.
