Hi , Thanks for your reply .
I guess we can update each other once we have an update , I've applied under Cat A - and from my point of view my case is pretty straight forward and I've heard if your case is straight forward you will get a reply in about 9th or 10th week. (fingers crossed) .
I don't think it really matters in which category you applied through as long as papers are genuine and complete .

I've just been reading thread and someone who had their biometrics enrolled 19/09 has had an answer and Insh'allah we shouldn't be far off.
Good luck Insha'allah it'll be a good news for everyone on this forum.

Hi

Yes insha'Allah, good luck to you also and everyone else and I guess we can update each other!
From my point of view my case is straight forward, every document is legitimate/genuine, I've tried my best to leave no stone unturned, it's just a case of if HO believe it's straight forward, I meet all the financial, relationship, accomodation and communication requirements etc etc.

My only worry is that I submitted under Category B and not many people have.

My only other question, is the 12 week wait from biometrics or application submission date? Very confusing that. I was under the impression it's application submission date.

Depending on if you did priority or non-priority it will be the following:
priority - 6 weeks wait
non-priority - 12 weeks wait

It says in the email.

Hey guys, I haven't seen my husband for 1year and 8months could that be a reason his visa gets refused? Has anyone elses? Its been 65 working days since his biometrics and we have still recieved nothing. I'm abit worried that he's not going to get his Visa as we havent seen eachother in a long time.

Hey, you should contact UKVI to escalate since it has been over 60 working days. I hope you receive some good news soon.

Finally had some contact but for an interview with my husband and I - strange that we’ve received an email for an interview in one weeks time... Normally they call out of the blue rather than book a time? My husbands will be by video call and mine will be by telephone at the same time

My interview will be about our relationship and his will be relationship, immigration and travel history

I’m worried as to the nature of the questions - any advice will be greatly appreciated please

Hi

I’ve been invited for an interview too

Please can you explain the questions? What did they ask? How was the interview?

Were you invited by email?

Hi all,

As there isn’t a timeline for Nigeria I figured I’d add ours here for those who might find it helpful.

Spouse settlement application from Nigeria (Ikeja, Lagos): non-priority
I believe the number of working days starts from when biometrics are completed.

19 August - Online submission

26th August- Biometrics and some documents submitted at TLScontact Ikeja (printed application form, passport, marriage cert, TB test, IELTS, docs checklist)

NB. We weren’t sure how long we had to send the other documents from the UK so I called UKVI and they just said to send as soon as possible but that within two weeks should be fine.

4 Sept (7wd)- Remaining documents sent to TLS Scanning Hub in London, not sure what day they were scanned but paid for the 24hr service

19 September (18wd)- Email from VISA INFO confirming application is being considered by Entry Clearance Officer (includes reminder to send docs if they’ve not been sent already)

4 November (50wd)- Email from VISA INFO asking to resend a scan of marriage cert (as it hadn't come out clearly the first time round at the TLS office) in order for application to be concluded

6 November (52wd)- Scan of certificate sent

15 November (59wd), end of week 11- TLS email saying passport is ready for collection

18 November - Passport collected

Visa granted :-) The document says the decision was made on 11 November which was day 55.

I noticed that there are some slight differences in process depending on if you have VFS or TLS in your country of application. But generally the information in this forum and a few others is very helpful and enough to guide you through the process. All the best to those still waiting.

That’s strange.
What you think, why they call you for an interview?
Does your partner have a bad immigration history?

There is no big deal in interview and is not strange , nothing to fear, just be composed so far your relationship is real, there are so many people on this platform that went through interview and they were granted visa few days after their interview

I wouldn’t say bad - eg no overstay etc or breaches. Three rejections however

His email was slightly different to mine. His email c
Included a paragraph to say questions to be asked about his immigration history and the relationship.

I only had relationship in mine.

Well this is it. We know our relationship is real But it’s also the idea of the unknown and knowing one phone call could be the decision made

I think ours is to check our marriage is genuine. I’m not sure if my employer has had a call and I don’t know if they will ask me employment questions as this wasn’t covered in the email - the email only suggested relationship questions.

It’s better to prepare employment questions as well, like how’s your work place look like, how far is your work place and how you go there, nature of work and working hours etc

Thank you. I’m not concerned about my job etc because I’ve worked in the public sector for 3+ years and the route etc etc is ingrained in my mind lol. I think I’m more worried about the relationship questions - they can ask so many random ones that they expect a husband/wife to know but on a day to day, you wouldn’t think of it and wouldn’t expect to be questioned on it

Also equally worried about the immigration questions he may be asked as well and that’s what I’m trying to figure out. Even to prepare a little bit for those.
