Which visa to apply to extend the stay of dependents

Hi All,

My original leave to remain in UK was as Tier 2 (2016-2019), extended (2019-2022) but I was eligible for ILR in May 2020 and switched to ILR.
My wife and son joined me as tier 2 dependents in Oct 2020. Since their visa will expire next month I am not sure which visa she should apply for? My search keeps leading me to FLR (M) form i.e. spouse visa.
I don't know if the PBS dependent visa extension route still exists?
Additionally, I am not sure if we switch to spouse visa it will restart the eligibility period?

They can apply to extend their current PBS dependent visas on the Skilled Worker dependent visa form. It will be a 3 year extension.

Applying for FLR(M) will reset their clock to zero and a new 5 year route (2 x 2.5 year visas) to ILR.

Another query is which GWF/UAN should I add for the dependent application :-
1) Main applicant's Tier 2 leave to remain application
2) Or, Main applicant's ILR application GWF.
