Hi all,
I have been in a long distance relationship for some time following my move back to the UK from abroad; a working visa is not an option for my partner and given the recent times, we've decided that we want to move ahead and get married so that we can be together. Not the most romantic reason, but we love each other so it really doesn't matter!
We plan on putting in our application at the end of July, my fiance is due to do her B1 Ielts course on the 23rd July, so this will cover the language requirement.
I am confused by a few of the requirements so I am hoping that somebody could help clarify a few things?
I meet the financial requirement of earning £18,600 + annum and need to know what I need to provide as evidence? I've done a bit of reading and from what I can tell.. I need:
6 Months Payslips,
6 Months bank statements and
A Letter from my Employer confirming details?
But... What needs to be included in the letter and can this simply be written by my manager? I'd rather ask for a generic document. For example, confirmation of permanent contract of employment identifying my salary and the length of time that I've been employed by the company. Would this suffice? My love life is not the business of my employer and I would prefer to, if possible, avoid having to explain myself.
We have a number of photos from our time together when I lived abroad and from her holidays to the UK.
Do the relationship statements need to include personal information, or are these meant to be generic and simply to the point?
And lastly... Do we both need to out the form, or is it just my fiance as she is the one applying for the visa?
Thanks in advance,
