Earliest I can apply

Post by soovan » Sat Oct 23, 2021 2:43 pm

I was on Tier 4 dependent visa for a year and few months and then got sponsorship for Tier 2. I first started on Tier 2 from 27/01/2017. I will complete 5 years in Tier 2 visa on 27/01/2022. Somebody told me I can apply for ILR 28 days before completion of 5 years. I plan to use super priority service for ILR. Will I become eligible to apply on 01/01/2022 or 27/01/2022.

Is proof of stay required

Post by soovan » Sat Oct 30, 2021 8:10 am

Hi
I am on Tier 2 and will be applying for ILR with my spouse and kids. I will provide the employer letter, salary slips, bank statements, life in uk test, english language equivalency from Naric, biometrics and passport.
1. We never left UK do I still need to provide tenancy agreement and council tax statements with mine and spouses name on it.
2.NARIC has now changed to ECCTIS. Is the English equivalency certificate from Naric still valid.

1. Your spouse dependant must provide two years of cohabitation evidence
2. NARIC name change is irrelevant. Evidence from NARIC is valid

Hi
Zomba thanks for the reply. The electricity and water bills don't have my spouse name on them. Council tax, credit card and the bank statements do have her name as well.
1. Will council tax statement serve the purpose for cohabitation. Do we need to provide more than one form of evidence.
2. How many months salary slips and bank statements as proof of salary do I need to submit.

1. ANY evidence can be used. It does not have to have the name of all of you. Provide a bill or something for every 3 months from different sources
2. The last month only

My daughters passport expires in February and we are due to apply for ILR in first week of January. Will this be an issue.

I guess only the last salary slip is required.

How about bank statements. Are they required. If yes then for how many months.

Also are P60s required.

I never went outside of UK during my Tier 2. Do I need to provide an absence letter clarifying I never went abroad or is this not required.

Zimba answered earlier 2. The last month only
2. Is letter of absence required if one never went out of UK in 5 years Since you were never absent and your travel documents corroborates this no letter needed. State this in additional info section.
3. Are P60s required

P60s are not required. Only the last payslip and the last bank statement showing the payment

Hi Admins
I worked intially for a year and 4 months as a Tier 4 dependent before switching to Tier 2. I did visit Germany for 3 days through work as Tier 4 dependent. While filling the online form there is a question regarding all absences from UK. I do not have any absence since I started work as Tier 2.
1. Do I need to declare this absence for 3 days even though this was before I started working on Tier 2
2. Do I need to approach this employer to provide a letter of absence

Regards and many thanks to all who help so many towars their path to immigration.

1.Do I have to disclose this
2.Do I have to provide some proof for this

Thanks again Zimba. I started filling wifes application as Tier 2 dependent. She first came to this country on Tier 4 visa. There is a question

Which visa is Mrs .. applying for or been granted?
Choose the route that Mrs .. has applied for or been granted, even if their application is still being processed.
Do you have one of these reference numbers for Mrs ..?
Options are:
Tier 2 General Visa
Skilled Worker Visa
and so forth for other Tier 2 categories

Yes, I have their VAF number
Yes, I have their GWF number
No, I do not have a reference number for them

1. Do I select Tier 2 General Visa here.
2. Do I enter the VAF and GWF number based on when she first entered UK on Tier 4 visa even though this VAF will not match with her Tier 2 dependent category

I am extremely sorry I was filling the form separately for my wife and daughters and not as part of my application so never realised this question was for me and not my wife. I think the initial section in dependents form asks for information such as Passport Number, NI, Sponsor License Number and the question I posted above for related Tier 2 main applicant which is myself.
So should the correct answers to my queries be:
1. In option dropdown select Tier 2 General Visa
2. Enter VAF number from the visa stamp when we first applied from visa from home country

Hi All
While filing the ILR application form for my wife I came across this question:

Does the period of stay on which this application was based include any leave granted since 11 January 2018?

1. I didn't notice any such question while filling my own form. Is this query only relevant for spouse or did I something incorrect that this query didn't show when filling my own form

2. Her first BRP was from Oct 2015 to Jan 2017 as Tier 4
Second from Jan 2017 to Jan 2020 as Tier 2 dependent
Third and most current from Jan 2020 to Jan 2023

Based on this what should be the response to the above question. Should it be Yes or No

3. Another question is related to uploading copy of the passports. Do we have to upload all pages of all previous passports or only the front and last pages and pages where there is some stamp.

Thanks in advance, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone.

Incomplete reply to a query

Post by soovan » Sun Jan 09, 2022 9:30 am

Hi
I have submitted my form online and paid the fees. The biometric appointment is this week. I noticed I filled in incomplete answer to the following query
Have you previously lived in a country outside the UK including your country of birth?
I mentioned USA where I have lived previously but forgot to mention details of India. How do I go about adding those details.

Write a cover letter that explains the situation, sign it, convert to PDF and upload along with your other forms.

Hi
Do case officers entertain such changes if notified via cover letter or is it best to withdraw and then refile after receiving the refund.
Thanks
