UKVI website reports during April 2018:
3% of applications dealt with in 3 days
66% in 5 days

71% in 15 days
83% in 30 days
90% in 60 days
100% in 90 days

Really concerned UKVI have our original documents: passports, birth certificates, marriage certificates and we have had no contact from them since the original acknowledgement email. UKVI did inform our MP if we really needed the passports they could, for a fee, send them back to us - but it would need to be for a really serious issue like a death!
So we enter another week of waiting....

After 23 months and 7 days of waiting in 'open prison' my ILR was approved by the HO.

Note that the HO sent the acknowledgement letter and biometric letter to the wrong address (my neighbors) - informed HO twice about their error and they still sent correspondence to my neighbor's address particularly the interview letter which I never received in the post; was only made aware of the interview invite because HO decided to email me since they got no response to the paper invite. Thankfully my BRP was sent to the correct address.
