BPR: should be anyday!!! :)
Massive update! I've been approved!! After nearly 5 months of waiting, I got fed up, anxious, and scared! I was thinking it would be another holiday missed (Easter) away from my family in New York. Even amongst the Brexit craziness, I appealed to my MP to speed up the process and he did it!! I contacted their offices the previous Thursday and by the Tuesday everything was approved and my documents were returned to me yesterday! The best advice I have is to contact your MP and see if they can do anything, especially if it has been many months of waiting. I know you aren't supposed to chit chat here (sorry mods!) but I wanted to share my good news and perhaps help someone else out! Good luck to everyone! I hope you hear something positive soon!!

Hi everyone,

Documenting this here for my own sanity more than for anyone else! Is slightly discouraging that everyone's application recently seems to be taking almost the full 6 months, but also comforting to know it's not unusual to have to wait!

I was hoping to get to go skiing in April, but it's looking like it may take longer than that, based on other people's recent timelines. :( Disappointing, but would rather just have it and be done with it, than to have to wait about all over again! Double the ski trips next year it seems!

Applied for ILR Route : Set M, 5 year partner
Date application sent : Submitted online 16/12/18
Document received by HO : 16/12/18

Ack letter received : 17/12/18, 16/01/18, 18/02/19, 18/03/19
Biometric Letter received : No letter received, submitted immediately through post office
Date Biometrics Enrolled : 17/12/18

I've been lurking for a while; I figured I'd post my timeline in case anyone else has similar dates and is still waiting.

Set (M)
Sent: 28/10 (post)
Received: 29/10
Funds taken: 1/11
Email: 12/11, 10/12, 9/1, 11/2, 11/3
Biometric letter: 13/11 (dated 9/11)
Biometrics enrolled: 14/11
Husband and Child passport returned: 8/2 ( dated 6/2)
Approval: Royal mail missed parcel slip 16/3 - will collect today
BRP: email from DX staying brp arriving today

I didn't get any MP involvement as it's within the 6 months standard (just under 5 agonizing months) and my timeline seems about the same as most.

More than 6 months has passed but no responses from them. (Never received a status update email either.)

Contacted HO and complained (through solicitor) : 20/3/2019
(HO staff on the phone said the case will be escalated and we should hear from them within 5 working days.)

Since there is no guarantee that HO returns my passport and BRP this week, now I have to cancel my business travel that has been scheduled next week. This affects the business significantly. :x

Tier 2 Gen. ILR - Super Priority Service - SET(O)

Post by Junaidrai » Wed Mar 27, 2019 11:32 am

Hi All,

Below is the timeline of my Tier 2 Gen. ILR application

Online Application - 07/03/2019
Documents submission - 08/03/2019 @Premium Lounge London @9:30am
Email received from the Visa Officer - 08/03/2019 @4:30pm (this was about Dependents who were present on the previous application of grant of leave as tier 2 gen.)
Responded to the email - 08/03/2019 @ 4:40pm

Then UKVI went on silent mode as I have seen for other members

13/03/2019
Contacted UKVI and tried to escalate, Adviser on the phone mentioned, that wait till Friday (i.e. 15/03/2019) and if you dont see anything in the post then come back to us an we will escalate this. Because, not all case workers send the email, some of them only send the letter.

20/03/2019
I waited longer than suggested and then on Wednesday contacted UKVI again, this time lady over the phone took my details and escalated the case for me.

21/03/2019
received a very generic email for UKVI contact center acknowledging the escalation (automated email)

21/03/2019
Around mid day, my status on the Prove your work site got changed (You have no limit on how long yo can stay in UK)

23/03/2019
Did receive the approval letter from UKVI

BRP Received - 27/03/2018 @ 10:30am
