Life in the UK test cancelled due to coronavirus

Hi all,

Am new here. I am on a spouse Visa 5 year route. I was supposed to be taking my test on the 30th of March but it got cancelled because of coronavirus. The new date they have gibe8me is mid may . Tge deadline the home office given me is 9th of may. Do I send the rest of my documents or I don't know what to do. Is there a way to contact the home office?

My wife is in the same boat. She was scheduled to take a Trinity test on the 27th I think it was, but it was cancelled on the 20th and she hasn't had another date sent through yet. I called them on 0300 123 2241, and the man said to book an appointment with UKVI at least and if she can't do the test before that then write a cover note explaining why. I wasn't really impressed as he said they only found out about these cancelled tests yesterday, but my wife got the email on Saturday, and it's a pretty obvious thing to happen in current circumstances after the announcement on Friday.

I presume you, like my wife, already have a test result from a currently unapproved provider?

Edited to add I thought you had written English Test, but either way call them on that number and see what they say.

You should be able to move your booking slot to an earlier date as slots are available after 13th April
