PBS Dependent to ILR

Post by daya.a.desai » Tue Dec 25, 2018 4:21 pm

Hi,
I am a Tier 2 (General) Dependent in UK , eligible for my ILR in 2019. I would like your help on the following before applying for the same:

1. My husband got his ILR (Tier 2 General route) in April 2018. So should I be using SET(O) or SET(M) application form?
So will I be applying to settle as a PBS dependent? or as a partner of a person who is already settled in UK?

2. My 1st visa was issued outside UK and valid from 28th Feb 2014. I entered UK on 11th May 2014.
So will I be eligible to apply for ILR on 31st Jan 2019(28 days before 28th Feb) or 13th April 2019 (28 days before 11th May) ?

Please answer at your earliest convenience.

Thank you,
Daya

1. If you hold a PBS dependent visa, you can ONLY apply using SET O. Form SET M is for those that held 2 x 2.5 years spouse Settlment visas.

3. No sooner than within 28 days before 5th anniversary of date of visa issue.

Hi ,
I need further help from you on filling my application form.

What should I fill under 'When did you first enter the UK?' Should it be 11th May 2014 (The day I landed in UK)? or my Visa date of issue - 28th Feb 2014?

Thanks,
Daya

Sorry , I am a bit confused with this line in the form which is as below :

When did you first enter the UK? (Required)
This is the date you entered the UK when the period of stay you are basing this application on started.

So, should this be 28th Feb 2014 or 11th May 2014?

Thanks for your help,
Daya

Hi ,
Can you please let me know how many years worth proof should I submit for cohabitation?
Also how many such documents - will council tax alone do? or should I submit other bills also?

Please note : My husband already has his ILR and I am his PBS dependent.

Many Thanks,
Daya

Thank you CR001.

I have only rent agreement and council tax to show. I don't have water or gas bill as we moved house 6 months ago. Are those 2 documents enough?

Hi,
I am happy to inform that I am granted ILR today. I went for a Super Priority service today and got an email confirmation from the Home Office within 2 hours.

Many thanks to CR001 and everybody in the forum whose posts have been very helpful!

Thanks,
Daya

Hi Daya,

I am in a similar process of applying ILR as a PBS dependent.

Can you please tell what cohabitant documents did you upload?

Do I need to upload marriage certificate as well? Its clearly not in the list of mandatory docs.

Hi,

For cohabitation proofs, I submitted the following:3 years worth council tax bill and water bill, rent agreement and land registry copy for the current address plus my marriage certificate.

Thanks,
Daya
