I’ve been watching this thread for a while so thought to post my concern finally.

I made my application Set (O) 29th April 2020
Documents were sent to case worker via email and also via UKVCAS online submission
Biometrics via IDV 5th Sept 2020

It’s nearly 8 months and I haven’t read anyone else from April who is still waiting. My local MP sent query to HO but no response yet. My employer has also emailed in the last week. I’ve raised a complaint online with UKVI hoping some updates from them.

I’ve booked biometrics appointment for 29th December but will the dual submission work? Should I still go for the appointment?

What should I do next? Is this normal ?

Thanks in advance!
To be honest, you have done all what you could do. You can only wait now and hope for the best. I would still suggest to write to them via post and keep chasing them. This is unacceptable wait.

Also note, your partner’s ILR will only be approved when yours is accepted first.

Try?

Tier 2 ILR
PO Box 3468
Sheffield
S3 8WA

Send via recorded delivery and mention your details including Case ID/UAN.

@tsdgy
Also, your dual submission will most probably be cancelled for 29th Dec as it is not allowed now. It is better to cancel it as that could cause further delays OR just keep it (if it is not cancelled) and test your luck.

Sorry for posting in wrong thread.

Thanks a lot for quick response. I’ll try post a letter asap on the given address.

Should I go to dual submit my biometrics on 29th Dec? Its too far away from my place so I hope they don’t reject taking biometrics when I visit UKVCAS

Kind regards

Tip for new users:

You must book an UKVCAS appointment now to complete your application process and submit biometrics. IDV is the past except T4.

Check 15th Dec 00:01 AM midnight and you will get one for 11th Jan Monday. Appointments are running at a 28 days lag. Weekend appointments are scarce or none so if you book before 15th Dec (i.e tomorrow night or Monday), you will only get if you are lucky as it will be a weekend (28 days apart).

Better to keep checking before 15th Dec randomly through out the day/different locations so you may end up securing an earlier one if there are any cancellations.

However, you can always upload your documents and SELF-submit so your documents are sent to UKVI even before biometrics (optional) OR you can upload anytime before biometrics appointment itself. Self-submission option can be availed only once and up to 48hrs before appointment only. In case you want to add anymore documents after self-submission (e.g. you missed any documents), you can still upload and submit at the appointment itself. Self-submission is recommended so you can save time even before biometrics.

See at top @ UKVCAS account. You will see “document upload”
You can upload your documents there on the UKVCAS portal.

Also see the new UKVCAS flash update: They are having some issues with WorldPay so keep an eye.

https://www.ukvcas.co.uk/flash-message- ... geId=74833

You can book an appointment anytime before the deadline.

One thing I noticed or suspect from personal experience is that if one goes for paid biometrics appointment (most likely), then document checking service is automatically included as part of the service, even though under services it says "standard appointment".

So, even if we self upload/submit the documents in advance, they won't go to ukvi until biometrics appointment.
My advice is based on personal research/experience, so pls check relevant UKVI sources.

Only for enhanced centres or otherwise you buy separately (core, premium).

A friend of mine, who submitted his biometric almost one month after me, got his decision the other day. I just can't understand what is going wrong with mine now. Our cases were almost identical. I only traveled for holidays more frequently than him.
I initially thought they may prioritize certain industries or soc codes. But it is also not the case.

Obviously there is no clear pattern, compleixties could be one reason but some getting descisions after a while is like just as discussed previously, a lazy, not productive case worker (s) who just take their time. i am also thinking as of why the descisions for applciants in Nov are coming through as more OCT applicants are waiting. i applied 1 nov and gave bio on 13th nov, and descisions are coming who applied after me and gave bio after me as well!!

But my confusion is, if that’s the case, how this can be allowed.

Hi everyone,

I submitted my ilr (set lr) last week and i booked an appointment for 4th Jan 2021 in Enfield.

Anyone please tell me from their experience what is the next step do we need to submit the documents or they will do at the appointment and what is the best approach?

Also anyone been to Enfield is there any parking available?

Regards
Self-submission is better (OPTIONAL) even before biometrics.
Hi again,

One more question do i need to cover 2 years address correspondence for every month? And where do i need to submit that in OTHERS or LIFE EVENT?

THANKS

Hi all,

First thanks for this useful thread.

I was wondering if there is any recent stats for SET(M) applications with biometric submitted at end of September this year?

Thanks.

@Ameline
@ibnadam You should not rely only on when the biometrics have been submitted but instead the date of the application submission is more relevant. However, the focus in November and December for SET(M) was for June/July applicants who have used only IDV as they were left in a queue compared to applicants who went for in-person biometrics and who (most of them) got their approval earlier in September and October.

It is nearly 6 months for you. You will get your decision in the next 10 days as you are among the few June SET(M) applicants left. I would say expect decision this week hopefully.

Thanks Ameline, Much appreciated for your feedback and giving me confidence. Is it true that they are trying to clear june/July applicants within this month?

It seems like this is the case. The focus in December is definitely on June/July SET(M) applications. August applications went silent strangely for weeks now. Please keep us posted.
