@Ameline
@ibnadam You should not rely only on when the biometrics have been submitted but instead the date of the application submission is more relevant. However, the focus in November and December for SET(M) was for June/July applicants who have used only IDV as they were left in a queue compared to applicants who went for in-person biometrics and who (most of them) got their approval earlier in September and October.
It is nearly 6 months for you. You will get your decision in the next 10 days as you are among the few June SET(M) applicants left. I would say expect decision this week hopefully.
Thanks Ameline, Much appreciated for your feedback and giving me confidence. Is it true that they are trying to clear june/July applicants within this month?
It seems like this is the case. The focus in December is definitely on June/July SET(M) applications. August applications went silent strangely for weeks now. Please keep us posted.minho87 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 14, 2020 10:15 amThanks Ameline, Much appreciated for your feedback and giving me confidence. Btw, Google services (Gmail, etc.) having an outage at the moment so emails may be delayed until it's resolved.
I can only mirror your feelings.bex654 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 13, 2020 2:45 pmBut my confusion is, if that’s the case, how this can be allowed.raj_262920 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 13, 2020 11:14 amObviously there is no clear pattern, compleixties could be one reason but some getting descisions after a while is like just as discussed previously, a lazy, not productive case worker (s) who just take their time. i am also thinking as of why the descisions for applciants in Nov are coming through as more OCT applicants are waiting. i applied 1 nov and gave bio on 13th nov, and descisions are coming who applied after me and gave bio after me as well!!bex654 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 13, 2020 12:29 amA friend of mine, who submitted his biometric almost one month after me, got his decision the other day. I just can't understand what is going wrong with mine now. Our cases were almost identical. I only traveled for holidays more frequently than him.
I initially thought they may prioritize certain industries or soc codes. But it is also not the case.
You should contact someone to get your delivery at your old address, otherwise it will be a REAL nightmare and you could be waiting months before a replacement or chasing HO. Also chase TNT to know the estimated delivery date. Do NOT try to change the address at this moment.n8net wrote: ↑Mon Dec 14, 2020 2:23 pmthanks everyone here..got approval after 5 months, timeline as follows
type: SET (M)
applied: 15 July
IDV: 10th Sept
Approval email : 10th Dec
no comms between then and no double submission - first visa without hving to leave home!
btw, how does biometric card is sent - coz I hv moved houses and HO only knows the old address..is there a way to interject the delivery
You should have been pro active since 10th Dec. Its 14 Dec today! It will be delivered at your old address. Check with the landlord or tenant there or chase TNT (it is pointless to change or declare you have moved at this point to avoid delays) to get it delivered at your OLD address.
Google. Your name and address should be fine and they will let you know if they have a delivery for you. Normally it should be delivered before Friday or next 1-2 days.

Thanks to everyone who are helping us in this Forum. Especially CULLINAN and CR001
To share a little bit more information about my case.
1. First entered UK on 23/09/2010
2. Had one drink driving related DR30 criminal record in 2014
3. Had one speeding offence SP30 conviction in 2017
4. Before submit the LR application, I was on T1 entrepreneur route.
September applicants have only begun receiving decisions. August and some July applicants are still waiting. You may escalate your case via your MP for expedition if you have a genuine and compassionate reason.ajwamahdi wrote: ↑Mon Dec 14, 2020 4:35 pmHi, I am supposed to apply for SET LR on 21st of Dec. Just wanted to know has any one here applied in OCT, NOV and got decision? Due to personal circumstances I wanted to apply via priority service but as its suspended so have to use standard service. By looking at the timeline it looks like SET O and M are getting faster decisions than long residency.
