Hi all,

First thanks for this useful thread.

I was wondering if there is any recent stats for SET(M) applications with biometric submitted at end of September this year?

Thanks.

Hey guys,

Hopefully more decisions come out. Still waiting since 24th June for SET M Application. Did the IDV app submission on 9th September.

@Ameline
@ibnadam You should not rely only on when the biometrics have been submitted but instead the date of the application submission is more relevant. However, the focus in November and December for SET(M) was for June/July applicants who have used only IDV as they were left in a queue compared to applicants who went for in-person biometrics and who (most of them) got their approval earlier in September and October.

It is nearly 6 months for you. You will get your decision in the next 10 days as you are among the few June SET(M) applicants left. I would say expect decision this week hopefully.

Thanks Ameline, Much appreciated for your feedback and giving me confidence. Is it true that they are trying to clear june/July applicants within this month?

It seems like this is the case. The focus in December is definitely on June/July SET(M) applications. August applications went silent strangely for weeks now. Please keep us posted.

A friend of mine, who submitted his biometric almost one month after me, got his decision the other day. I just can't understand what is going wrong with mine now. Our cases were almost identical. I only traveled for holidays more frequently than him.
I initially thought they may prioritize certain industries or soc codes. But it is also not the case.
Obviously there is no clear pattern, compleixties could be one reason but some getting descisions after a while is like just as discussed previously, a lazy, not productive case worker (s) who just take their time. i am also thinking as of why the descisions for applciants in Nov are coming through as more OCT applicants are waiting. i applied 1 nov and gave bio on 13th nov, and descisions are coming who applied after me and gave bio after me as well!!
But my confusion is, if that’s the case, how this can be allowed.
I can only mirror your feelings.
Extreme frustration here almost turning into obsession, made worse with some cases processed way faster than mine (Set O). I received a job offer where the recruiting company is slowly losing patience, apart from the fact that visiting family after this horrible year is not an option anymore.

I will keep on refreshing the ILR Set O timeline pages...

Suggestion:

Although the normal processing time is 6 months (for majority categories) but due to corona, so many people are affected in one way or other (income, mental health etc). If you have EXCEPTIONAL cases which is affecting your lives badly, write to HO and explain them with strong evidence why you think your case should be expedited. Do not email them. Write to them in POST with recorded delivery. Post is more of an official way of correspondence especially when it is recorded.

Especially people who are waiting for over 6 months should definitely consider sending a proper drafted letter in post. Explain why it is affecting your lives and show proof where appropriate.

PS GP’s/HO takes mental health seriously.

You should contact someone to get your delivery at your old address, otherwise it will be a REAL nightmare and you could be waiting months before a replacement or chasing HO. Also chase TNT to know the estimated delivery date. Do NOT try to change the address at this moment.

You should have been pro active since 10th Dec. Its 14 Dec today! It will be delivered at your old address. Check with the landlord or tenant there or chase TNT (it is pointless to change or declare you have moved at this point to avoid delays) to get it delivered at your OLD address.
Sometimes they drop in the letter box, sometimes some have to sign for it. Due to corona signatures are a past. Different buildings/flats/houses have different stuff so cant really comment as dont know where you live.

Google. Your name and address should be fine and they will let you know if they have a delivery for you. Normally it should be delivered before Friday or next 1-2 days.

Hi, I am supposed to apply for SET LR on 21st of Dec. Just wanted to know has any one here applied in OCT, NOV and got decision? Due to personal circumstances I wanted to apply via priority service but as its suspended so have to use standard service. By looking at the timeline it looks like SET O and M are getting faster decisions than long residency.

September applicants have only begun receiving decisions. August and some July applicants are still waiting. You may escalate your case via your MP for expedition if you have a genuine and compassionate reason.
SET O is still the fastest.
SET M is slower than SET LR at the moment
