Hi,

I applied for ILR - Set M via standard route on 10th Nov 2020. My biometrics were done in person at sopia steria center in mark lane, london on 30th Nov 2020.

I havent received any update or email regarding my application. Is there anyway to find out status of my application ?

This waiting is really frustrating....

@grizza, abhishekpatwa85

You will need to find SET(M) approvals here:

indefinite-leave-to-remain/ilr-timeline ... -2060.html

I see some July & August applicants receiving decisions in the last 2 pages of this thread

Good afternoon all,

Hope im posting in the right section.
Id like to know how long the turnaround time for a ILR decision takes to come through?

I had applied, paid and submitted all documents for my wife's ILR on 09.09.2020. We were invited to use the IDV app which we did and we also uploaded all documents through the app too.

Emails we received prior to the IDV app invitation said that we would not need to book an appointment to submit data if we used the IDV app, so we opted to use it.

After submission we did not received any form of confirmation. The app shows that we have submitted and as we can not add or remove to the submission we are guessing that it has submitted.

We made contact with UKVI on 15 December 2020 as we were concerned and had not heard anything back. The response we received was that it was taking upto six months to recieve a decision and our application had not reached that time yet so they are unable to say anything. Furthermore we requested an acknowledgement that they had received our application/documents/biometric data/live video data (IDV App) but they did not confirm any of these.

Has anyone experienced a similar situation?

Is this something to be concerned about? as its now January the 13th 2021 and we have not heard anything.

How long does it usually take for a decision when the applicant has used the IDV app?

Is it normal that we received no confirmation after submission of the application?

Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Thanking you all in advance.

@Mr Muj M

You have not specified your wife's ILR route. If it is SET(M), see below response:

Hi. If you would like to make sure whether your documents submitted on IDV app have been sent properly, you can contact UKVCAS on twitter. I made my IRL Set(M) application on 28th August and still waiting. Good luck.

Hey guys, June applicant here, just received successful decision email yesterday after 7 months. I want to share my details to help anyone else in a similar position.

My application is Set O, Tier 2, 5 year route. 2 employers during 5 years, no dependents. I tried calling to escalate after 6 months but the call center guy said they don't do escalations anymore since November. So they just tell you to wait forever, even if there is a problem on their side, which I later learned.

I emailed my MP and she contacted Home Office on my behalf. Hostile Office said I need to send my biometrics even though I submitted it with IDV app in August and in person in September at Croydon. After they said this, it took another month for them to retrieve the biometrics. Finally, received email yesterday. Waiting for the BRP now. Thanks to everyone here.

Congratulations first... A long battle
Its indeed scary to know HO can just "forget" our £2.4K applications.
Did you contact your MP as 6 months lapsed or did you have any other compassionate reasons?

Could someone please post September and October set LR application list? I'd be happy to start if someone could tell me what the format should be. I've applied on 25/10.

@poper - haha, I know! August and September (together) Set LR summary below. These are only the ones that have been reported. As we know and have seen, some people only post timelines after their application has been approved, so there may be more to come.

Total number of applicants = 142
Number of applications decided = 130
Number of outstanding applications = 12

August:
Total number of applicants = 101
Number of applications decided = 97
Number of outstanding applications = 4 (@mm1990 - 9th August, Fb user - 21st August, @Jubilatedeo and @poper - 29th August)

September:
Total number of applicants = 41
Number of applications decided = 33
Number of outstanding applications = 8
Latest (non-escalated) approval = 11th September
NOTE: September is currently heavily skewed towards the start of the month as only those people have posted timelines on the forum. 1st-15th September has 37 datapoints/applicants whereas 16th-30th September only has 4 datapoints/applicants at the moment

You should get a BRP dispatch email from UKVI/Home Office in 3-4 working days. That will contain your consignment number and a link to the TNT Final Mile Delivery tracking website.

You should wait until you get your ILR BRP before returning your current one. After you check over your ILR BRP to ensure that it is accurate and correctly printed, you can send the expired one back.

What do you mean by "list"? I'm working on the Set LR stats. A "list" for October wouldn't be much use since there have been only 4 October Set LR applications reported on the timeline thread in this forum...

Thank you. I didn't have any official compassionate reasons, just old parents I worried about. I contacted my MP even before 6 months passed as I knew they would take time to take up my case. I told my MP about the troubles I had getting any updates and the long wait. I then got a call from the MP's office and the secretary confirmed details about my case and said they would contact HO.

Home Office confirmed they lost my biometrics and told me to wait until they made enquiries. It took them 3 more weeks to fix this problem.

Thank you proper, this is massively helpful. Would it be fair to assume that the forum applicants may in some way correlate to the actual pool of SET LR applicants in the UK, i.e. skewed towards the first half of September, and that we might see quicker approvals for the second half? :?:

I'm praying HO gets to Oct applicants sooner rather than later.
