Apologies if that has already been answered. I'm applying for my ILR (tier 2, set O) as I've reached my 5 year mark. My present tier 2 visa is due to expire Jan 2021. I was hoping I would apply in person (priority service) but clearly that's not happening now.
What happens if my ILR application takes 6 mths (or longer)? So I just continue working for my employer even after my visa expiry period while waiting for a response. Seems a bit pointless to extend my visa for a few months just to then apply for the ILR (considering I can't extend more than 6 years).
TIA

Yes, you can continue to work for your current employer.
My advice is based on personal research/experience, so pls check relevant UKVI sources.

When you apply and before a decision is made, you are covered by Section 3C and your work rights/all visa specific rights remain the same. In case, a decision is not made by the time your current visa expires, your employer can carry out an ECS (employer checking service) check via the gov website and it will come back fine. ECS is valid for 6 months before employer needs to carry it out again.

Interesting, I didn't know this.
I'm truly impressed by the depth of info on this website and the quick responses. Thank you for taking the time to answer!

Hi
I'm applying for my ILR- just asking with regards to the earlier post- do I need to upload a document with all pages of my passport loaded on? Or just the pages with my photo/bio?
TIA
For IDV- bio page
For documents - full passport
Thanks!
Hi
Just checking- 'Documents' as in the ones we upload when I submit my online SET O application? Do I scan all the pages into a single word document or can i upload multiple pages?

Make 1 PDF file per passport. The maximum size allowed is 6MB. You can make more than 1 file also if needed to manage the size limit.

Hi
Would appreciate moderators/other users experience please:
- I applied for an ILR via SET (O) (Tier 2 general 5 years).
- Paid the £2408 and received a confirmation email regarding payment
- Followed link to UKVCAS, uploaded all mandatory documents and clicked submit.
1. What happens next? Does UKVCAS send an email about what happens next?
2. I tried to book a biometric place on the UKVCAS website, all locations (no matter how far) show a greyed out appearance for time slots, indicating no availability. Do I need to keep checking the site to see if a place opens up or do I wait for an email asking me to enroll on the IDV app or made a face2face appt?
TIA

You need to wait to hear back from ukcvas to either book an appointment or if you are eligible for biometric reuse through the app.
