Urgent Help - ILR set-m

Post by our india » Tue Jan 19, 2010 8:37 pm

Dear Friends,

I'm on spouse visa issued on 16/03/2008 and expiring on 11/03/2010. Could you please advise me when should I apply for ILR (set-m)?

Please note visa is expiring 5 days before two year spouse visa.

Thanks for your time....

I don't understand why it is not for 2 years.

Where was it issued? If issued outside the UK, when did you first enter the UK using that spouse visa?

OK, you can apply for the ILR no earlier than 28 days before the expiry of the current visa, and no later than its expiry date.

Thanks Johan. I called home office other day for an appointment booking. HO lady did not book my appointment for 11th feb 2010 (28 days before expirty) . She advised I must wait until 14th feb 2010 than on or after 16th feb 2010 I can book appointment because HO will not issued ILR on the bases of my less than 2 year spouse visa.

Now I am thinking to book an appointment for 16th feb 2010. According to my calculation 16th feb is 28 days before 16th march 2010.
