Using Foreign income as proof of income for ILR application

Post by darallis » Thu Jul 22, 2021 2:59 pm

Hello: Could anyone please let me know if they have any helpful experience or knowledge about using foreign income as proof of income for ILR application?

I am getting ready to file for my ILR after completing 5 years on a spousal visa. My partner and I live in the UK but his employment contract is based in another country. He can work remotely so he shuttles back and forth/ in and out of the UK. His income exceeds the £18,600 minimum requirement but it is paid in a foreign currency to a foreign bank. Has anyone had a similar experience regarding whether or not Home Office will accept this as proof of income? We don't have 6 months of the £62,500 savings alternative. Any insights appreciated. Thank you.
