Innovator visa renewal

Post by sakhib » Sat Nov 11, 2023 6:38 pm

Dear Board Contributors

I would be grateful if you can advise me seeing the situation I am in – I came to the UK in April 2021 on an [Innovator Visa ENTER EXACT CATEGORY] by investing £50,000 and been able to demonstrate my expertise in the technology sector. I came along with my wife and three children. Over the period of more than two years, the company I am working with and in which I have invested my funds has only been able to pay me nominal income (lesser than what I need to survive) as the product we were working on has met with technical difficulties and the majority shareholders decision has been that any income to the company in the last three years needs to be retained within the company for fulfilling ongoing company commitments. It is nearly three years now during which I and my family have survived using whatever savings we had, unfortunately all my savings have dried up. I cannot take employment with any other company in the UK due to my visa restrictions. My wife cannot work due to her health condition (despite this she worked for three months as a room assistant at a hotel but could not continue due to her health condition). In mid December 2023, I am due to apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain, the total cost of visa applications with Health Surcharge (which has significantly gone up in the last two years) is almost£16000 . I have kept aside £8000 but I am short of nearly £8000, is there any possibility I can request UKVI (Home Office) for some leniency in the fee ? or can I request some kind of visa fee waiver at least for two dependents below the age of 10?
Any advise will be much appreciated and helpful, also If the rules of the Immigration Board permit can you please provide me info on any charities which help people who are in a similar situation as me?

No, there is no such option for your visa route for your or your dependents
